PEFC is a world leader in forest management certification, which promotes sustainable and permanent forest management through the certification of wood raw material. The PEFC certificate confirms that the raw material obtained to produce our products comes from 100% legal sources.
Certification of forests confirms that they are managed in accordance with environmental, social and economic requirements. On the other hand, supply chain certification makes it possible to trace the path taken by the raw material from the moment it leaves the forest until a finished product is obtained.
Production of EPAL pallets
EPAL pallets, the most common type of wooden pallet, are often referred to as EURO pallets. Our production facilities have been adapted to produce pallets of this type. We have four wood sawing lines and two modern EPAL pallet production lines. These machines make it possible to produce large quantities of high quality EPAL pallets. We use only the highest quality wood harvested in a sustainable and ecological way in the production of elements for our pallets. Our plant is equipped with modern drying rooms and sheds, which facilitate the storage of our products without exposing them to the elements in order to guarantee the highest possible durability.
The EPAL pallets we produce are widely used in transport, both domestic and international, in warehouses and virtually all production halls. Their construction, adapted for use with fork lift trucks, ensures universal applicability.
We pay a lot of attention to the production of EPAL pallets. As one of the producers of EURO pallets in Poland, we pay as much attention as possible to the quality of our pallets. EURO pallets are a standardised type of a pallet, used in warehouses and for transporting goods in throughout Europe and beyond. EPAL pallets have become extremely popular in the transport of goods mainly due to their construction and the quality requirements to be met by a manufacturer before the pallet is released onto the market. As a licenced EPAL pallet manufacturer, we make sure the highest level of quality at every stage of production is maintained.
Production of EURO pallets
We pay a lot of attention to the production of EURO pallets. As one of the producers of EURO pallets in Poland (Małopolska voivodeship), we pay as much attention as possible to the quality of our pallets. EURO pallets are a standardised type of a pallet, used in warehouses and for transporting goods in warehouses throughout Europe and beyond. The success of EURO pallets, which has made them into an indispensable accessory of every warehouse or transport company, stems from the fact that they are adapted for fork lift transport. As a pallet manufacturer, we make sure the highest level of quality at every stage of production is maintained.
During the production process we use state-of-the-art machinery, arranged into production lines. We have purchased a Stravis sawing line. Currently we have two production lines of this type. This has allowed us to double the number of EURO pallets we produce. We are constantly modernising the equipment and production lines used at our facility. In turn this means that the we produce high quality pallets which meet all the standards applicable to the production of EURO pallets. Use of the highest quality wood from Polish forests means that EURO pallets produced at our plants are extremely durable.
Production of EURO pallets – specification
A pallet is a flat transport structure used to move and store goods. Goods, or packages after being stacked on pallets, are often secured with lashings, stretch or heat shrink film. Since its invention in the mid-twentieth century, the pallet has gradually replaced older forms of storage, such as wooden boxes and barrels. Most pallets are made of wood, although there are also pallets made of metal, paper or plastic. EURO pallets were designed in 1961 for the European Railway Commission. It sought to standardise pallets used during transport. Currently there are 4 types of EURO pallets in use:
- EUR and EUR 1 – pallet dimensions: 800 mm x 1200 mm
- EUR 2 – pallet dimensions: 1200 mm x 1000 mm
- EUR 3 – pallet dimensions: 1000 mm x 1200 mm
- EUR 6 – pallet dimensions: 800 mm x 600 mm
EURO pallets have to have at least 78 nails arranged according to a relevant blueprint. EURO pallets weigh between 20 and 25 kg. Pallets of this type can withstand a load of 1000–1500 kg, depending on the pallet size, weight distribution and condition.
EURO pallets have to be marked: there should be an appropriate sign in the left-hand corner, usually the European Pallet Association (EPAL) mark.
The central leg should contain the manufacturer's code, legible IPPC marking, country code, HT symbol, year and month of manufacture. An EPAL inspection clamp must be shown on one of the central blocks. Corner legs should display the EPAL logo.
What makes EPAL pallets different?
WHY CHOOSE DREWPOL?
EPAL pallet producers must hold an appropriate licence confirming that the production site in question can produce such pallets. At the moment, three types of EPAL pallets are most popular:
- EPAL 1 – dimensions: 800 mmm x 1200 mm. A characteristic feature of these pallets is that they are made entirely of solid wood, or a combination of solid and shredded wood.
- EUR 2 – a slightly larger pallet, dimensions: 1200 mm x 1000 mm. 9 boards, 5 skids and a number of blocks are used to make this pallet.
- EUR 6 – pallet dimensions: 800 mm x 600 mm. 3 skids, 7 boards and 9 blocks are used for this pallet. This pallet comes with a smaller load bearing: 500 kg.
EPAL pallets are used for the same purposes as EURO pallets: storing, stacking and transporting goods. Our company is licensed to produce both EPAL and EURO pallets. This means we are able to provide comprehensive services associated with the supply of such products to companies and enterprises. EPAL pallets produced at our plant are durable and can be repaired if damaged.
This makes them the ideal solution for all entrepreneurs who strive to use top quality products.

In today's world the environment is extremely important. And that is why, as a professional pallet manufacturer, we make every effort to ensure that our production does not have a negative impact on the environment. All the wood we use to produce our pallets comes from 100% sustainably managed forests. This means that wood is harvested in a way that does not affect the natural development of the forest and its biological diversity. And thus the pallet production process at our plant is not only ecological, but also entirely ethical. In addition, no waste is generated during the pallet production process at our plant. We only have by-products: woodchips and sawdust, which we then sell or use in our plant. Additionally, we are a participant of the Key National Cluster – Waste Management and Recycling. All this means that our pallets are 100% ecological – and that's guaranteed. Therefore, if that issue is of importance to you, choosing our company will be an ideal solution.
Production of elements for pallets
As a manufacturer of all types of pallets we do our best to ensure a comprehensive range of products and services. That is why we produce elements for pallets. This is a contemporary service addressed to entrepreneurs looking to extend the life of their pallets. Our range of products includes pallet boards, pallet support blocks, skids and all types of pallet elements. All pallet elements produced at our plant deliver high quality and durability. They are an ideal solution for those looking to replace a damaged part of a pallet. However, it should be remembered that EURO and EPAL type pallets can only be repaired by a certified company, otherwise the pallets will lose their certificates. We can only repair disposable pallets, industrial and custom pallets on our own. We produce elements for all types of pallets. Pallet elements supplied by our company guarantee to extend the life of every pallet in which they will be used.
Disposable pallets
Disposable pallets are a type of a pallet that does not have to be produced in accordance with ISO standards. Thus they are much cheaper than EURO or EPAL pallets. The production of disposable pallets itself is no different than that of other pallet types. Materials of slightly lower quality than for EURO or EPAL pallets are used in the production of disposable pallets. As disposable products, they are mainly used for delivering goods. They are also used for storing goods in warehouses and during transport with a fork lift. As a manufacturer of disposable pallets, we know full well who will be able to use them best. Pallets of this type are most often used by businesses looking to reduce transport costs, without losing the convenience delivered by EURO or EPAL pallets. However, it should be remembered that pallets of this type are not designed for prolonged use. Use of disposable pallets over a longer period of time may result in serious damage to the transported goods.
Custom pallet manufacturer
Pallets are usually available in one of several standard sizes: 1200 mm x 800 mm, 1200 mm x 1000 mm and 800 mm x 600 mm. However, these dimensions are often not suitable for the purposes for which we want to use pallets. Therefore we can also make custom pallets. We make pallets of this type according to the customer's bespoke design. Our custom pallets are made according to the highest production standards. High quality wood and the machines are used to produce custom pallets. As a manufacturer of custom pallets, we do our utmost to deliver quick turn-around times for such orders whilst ensuring customer expectations are satisfied. Custom pallet prices primarily depend on order volume and custom pallet size. If you require pallets of this type please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone or e-mail. Our team will be more than happy to take you through the custom pallet production process and provide you with instructions as to how to structure such an order.
Industrial pallets
Industrial pallets feature an ISO mark. They are not encumbered with the same stringent standards as EURO and EPAL pallets. Therefore, they come in larger and much more varied dimensions than above mentioned pallets. We produce industrial pallets from high quality materials, acquired in an eco-friendly manner. The wood used to make industrial pallets is matured and fumigated, so that we can be sure the resulting pallets will be of high quality and very strong. As industrial pallets are not subject to the same standards as EURO and EPAL pallets, they are often slightly cheaper – some manufacturers use lower quality materials when making industrial pallets. We do not do that. We use the same machine park and high quality wood for the production of each pallet type. This allows us to guarantee that the pallets produced at our plant are durable and safe. They are suitable for use in the industry, but also by shops and warehouses. Pallets of this type can also be moved using a fork lift truck.
Wooden pallet manufacturer
Wooden pallets are the most common type of pallets in Europe. They are still much more popular than plastic pallets. We use modern machinery to produce wooden pallets. This means we were able to automate the pallet production process to a large extent. We use only the highest quality wood from Polish forests to make pallets. Our plant features high quality wood dryers, ensuring the wood used for the production of pallets is properly matured. This means we are able to prepare the wood so that it is as durable as possible. We also use modern machines for sawing and palletising during the production process. This guarantees that the pallets produced at our plant will be of high quality and very durable. Through all these efforts we were able to obtain certificates proving that we are an authorized manufacturer of EURO and EPAL pallets. Pallet production at our facility is a clean process. Waste-free. Only by-products are generated in the production process: woodchips and sawdust. We sell them or put them to good use.
